| International Relations Committee |
The Committee last met on 22 October 1996. The next meeting is due to be held in April 1997.
Mr Anthony Ketley stood down as the convener of APSIG at the end of 1996 and has been replaced by Mr John Brudenall. Ms Robyn Stokes' and Dr Helen Jarvis' terms on the committee ended in 1996. Ms Amelia McKenzie and Mr Alex Byrne have been elected to fill the vacancies. Issues to be discussed at the next meeting include ALIA sectional membership of IFLA, the outcomes of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) meeting and the proposed policy statement on ALIA and International Relations. |
| Information Technology and Telecommunications Committee |
The Committee has not met since the last General Council meeting. |
| By-Laws and Regulations Committee |
The By-Laws and Regulations Committee will meet on 12 March 1997. It is not anticipated that there will be any matters put forward for resolution at the March General Council meeting. An oral progress report on the business of the Committee will be provided at the March General Council meeting. A full report containing the Committee's recommendations will be presented to the July meeting of General Council. |
