General councillors 2000
The terms of office for the ACT, NSW, SA and WA general councillors are due to expire on 31 December 1999. Following a call for nominations for these positions, only one nomination had been received for each of the positions of ACT, SA and WA general councillors by the close of nominations on 1 September 1999. Accordingly the ballots were declared and Ms Roxanne Missingham, Mr Ian McBain and Ms Deanne Barrett were elected as ACT, SA and WA general councillors respectively.

As two nominations for the position of NSW general councillor had been received by the close of nominations on 1 September 1999, an election is being conducted and the ballot will close on 15 November 1999.

All nominees have been advised that as the Association is moving towards incorporation under Corporations Law, a Board of directors will be appointed. This will have implications for the term of office of all general councillors elected at this election.
