School Libraries Section [SCHOOL]

The School Libraries Section [SCHOOL] supports and promotes teacher-librarianship through a wide variety of activities including seminars, workshops and other events, publications, and lobbying for issues of concern for teacher-librarians.

In March 2000, a new electronic list was set up for those interested in school libraries issues. aliaSCHOOLS is an initiative of the National School Libraries Section, and it is hoped it will provide a forum of discussion of issues of interest to School Libraries Section members and all others who are interested in school libraries.

It is particularly hoped to keep Section members in touch with each other, especially in states where there is no active School Libraries Section or where distance and other circumstances precludes members from being able to easily keep in contact.
