Performance indicators for academic libraries: papers from the UCRLS/CRIG ALIA Pre-conference Workshop 7 October 1996
David Cunnington
I would like to thank the Victorian Branch of the University, College and Research Libraries Section of ALIA for organising the one-day UCRLS/CRIG ALIA Pre-conference Workshop on performance indicators for academic libraries, held in Melbourne on 7th
October 1996, at which the three papers below were presented. This very well-attended workshop was run in conjunction with the CAVAL Reference Interest Group Working Party on Performance Measures for Reference Services who have, over the past three years,
been reviewing performance indicators and performance measures used by Victorian academic libraries. Part of the brief of the Working Party is to report regularly to our CAVAL libraries on the progress of our research. This workshop provided an excellent
opportunity to do this while at the same time extending the discussion to a national audience. |
