Abstract
This paper outlines the results of a review of the cataloguing operations at the library at Curtin University of Technology and the three other publicly funded universities in Western Australia (known collectively as WAGUL). It identifies the cost
savings to be achieved by re-engineering cataloguing and related operations, and separates them from the savings to be expected from outsourcing. The review itself concerned all four WAGUL libraries equally, however, this paper includes current operational
experience from Curtin only. |
